LAXride does not accept phone (voice) calls, only texts. This was a problem as BOTH our phones were broken. We could not confirm our ride using our hotel phone. Didnâ€™t realize( nor di the driver ) that this company actually calls the Lyft driver to come get you, so not really sure how prices compare to Lyft, but with tip Iâ€™d imagine a portion goes to this company instead of the Lyft driver. Ok it was not a good experience and will never use your service again. I was told it would be a suv or a luxury car and it was a Kia seadan. I sent a text to dispatch 30 minutes before we were outside of the port and it took an hour for the driver to show up. The driver was fine, but your service is no better than Uber or Lyft. Very organized process, except the first driver refused to go to the airport. He should have been given our itinerary before he accepted the pickup. The driver that replaced him was prompt and drove quickly and carefully to get us to the airport in plenty of time. This was the most unprofessional pickup I have ever dealt with. I Let them know I was outside at 4:27. Driver picked me up at about 4:50. Although you may think you are booking a timed collection from your hotel to the airport with LAX Ride you actually have to text them when you are ready to leave. This can be costly when using mobiles from outside the USA. It took about 10 text messages to the company before they replied that someone was on the way.

I understand LAX communicates via text, however, I had an issue with my phone texting and it was so difficult. A family member had to do all the texting and then call me, we went back and forth and it was so aggravating. Got multiple, repetive text confirmations in the middle of the night. Gave my flight info as required. Texted them when curbside as requested for a 10-20 min pick up. Ride arrived 50 min later. We arrived and had NO message from pick-up driver, worse when communicating with LAX Ride they kept changing the driver and constantly changing its arrival time. I paid a higher price for a luxury car and got a dirty van serviced by Line to take me to the airport. Then on the return trip got another dingy smelly Line cab to pick me up and the experience was terrible. Jayride is just a service that discharged Line and Uber cabs. So there really was no reason for me to over pay for my return trip. Poor and deceptive advertising.

Where to start!, absolutely dreadful experience, avoid LaxRide like the plague, they are a bunch of cowboys.
Basically I had to arrange a private cab myself as they did not show. As with my first trip i knew contact was difficult as you cannot actually speak to anyone on the phone, just through text.

Apparently itâ€™s possible to get into a terrible accident 5 minutes before my pickup and not hear any sirens at 3:30 in the morning. I stay right across from the Fire department and didnâ€™t see anything. Asked if there was aTook my money and says there is no back up driver. On top of that, a 5 to 7 day wait for a refund?
